Strood, Kent band Keith Rossiter and the Teen Beats were also known as The (Fabulous) Teenbeats. All the band were classmates from The Temple Secondary Modern School, Strood. Keith Rossiter and the Teen Beats, had to change their name when they signed for Decca in 1963 and became The Classmates.

Line-up included:

  • Keith Rossiter lead vocals ( - 1963) 
  • Colin Kelly lead guitar ( - 1963) 
  • Robert 'Bobby' Gibbs bass ( - 1963) 
  • Stuart 'Luce' Langridge drums ( - 1963)

Was that the original line up, was there any other guitarist , and how did the group get about with all there instruments , when they first started , and did bob Gibbs Join the Johnny young four , and also did bob Gibbs family live up columbine road strood ,

Keith Rossiter is my dad , he went on to become a record producer , they used to do lots of gigs round the country and went on to the tv show ready steady go , he has some great stories of his time in the band and what followed .
